short term teams

WHO?
Churches and schools
Youth groups - Scouts, YMCA, Sports teams, Young Life and others
Skill specific or interest teams
YOU!  Bring a team of family or friends
If you are called to come to Africa to help, your calling will equip you!  Many have said "but what would I do?  I'm not qualified..."  You ARE qualified.  Qualified to come alongside our students and workers to assist in work projects.

WHAT?
Help with projects like youth sports camps, painting or construction, woodworking, or installing gutters on the buildings so we can harvest rain water, teaching special topics, landscaping, etc
WHY?
Many who would like to come say "but what will I DO?"  We answer "you don't always have to "do", just come and "be".  Some say "why don't I just send the money and stay home?"  There is a concept called a ministry of presence.  You and the students and community of St. Andrews will learn from each other and the friendships forged are well worth the trip!  The encouragement of your presence means a great deal.  It is very humbling and amazing for our school to think that you would spend all that money and time to come to JUST BE WITH THEM.

HOW?
Short term teams must have a team leader and are responsible for the costs
incurred in getting to Kenya and for lodging and meals and ground
transportation.
