Teachers Wanted in Academics, Arts and Sports!
English is the national language, so teachers familiar with this subject or ESL are welcome - to help the national faculty with their teaching skills as well. In addition to the required subjects, extra-curricular topics such as Life Skills, Music, Sports, Art, and Computer skills are particularly desired! We also would like to see people come to help students in areas like journalism, creative writing, business development, conflict resolution, drama, and debate. In the holiday months of April, August, and December tutors would be welcome. Teachers coming to spend time at St. Andrews may come for a year, a term (3 months) or one week to teach a specific course on a special interest topic. Expenses include all costs incurred with getting to Kenya as well as a modest rent and ground transportation charges. Volunteer teachers are housed at Eagles Wings in the self-catering guest cottage (The Nest) based on availability, or other lodging in the area. Eagles Wings is within a residential community called Green Park and social relationships are easily developed. Groceries and other essentials are easily available in Naivasha town. Transportation will be arranged to and from the school. For more information on teaching in Kenya at St. Andrews, see the CONTACT US page. |
